Apartment fire with several tens of thousands of euros in damage
Two people have been injured in an apartment fire in Fürth and an estimated property damage of several tens of thousands of euros has been caused. The injured were taken to hospital with suspected smoke inhalation, as the police announced on Saturday. A total of ten people were examined by the emergency services on site due to suspected smoke inhalation.
The fire broke out in an apartment building on Saturday night. When the police and fire department arrived on the scene, thick smoke and flames could be seen on the second floor of the house. The building was evacuated and work began on extinguishing the fire and rescuing people trapped inside. The second floor was initially no longer habitable. The cause of the fire was unclear and the police began an investigation.
Despite the incident in Fürth, another apartment fire occurred in Central France, causing significant damage. Reports indicate that numerous fires have broken out in the region, causing widespread concern.
