- Anticipates robust demand during the autumn break, according to Tui.
Big travel company Tui predicts high interest for this fall's getaways. Tui Germany CEO Stefan Baumert shared this insight with German Press Agency in Hannover, stating, "Autumn's picking up speed." Many vacationers want to extend their summer fun. Now, beach vacations begin earlier and last longer.
The Mediterranean beach escapades are thriving. Tui managed to secure extra resources following FTI's bankruptcy and added 75,000 additional vacation spots for fall. This is in addition to 12,300 extra seats on 65 additional flights.
Before June, FTI, once the third-largest German tour provider after Tui and DER Touristik, faced insolvency, canceling all pre-booked trips.
As for the top autumn destination for Tui travelers, it's no longer Mallorca – it's Antalya. "Turkey's travel boom persists," said Baumert, attributing its popularity to summer temperatures and a great value-for-money ratio.

Tui gleaning from travelers' excitement
Tui's hotel business (e.g., Riu, Tui Blue, Robinson) has been surging, while cruises remain in demand. Approximately 5.8 million travelers chose Tui by June's end, a 4% increase compared to the previous year. Overall, the company surpassed financial analysts' expectations and even reported a record quarter.
The Hanover served as the location where Tui Germany CEO Stefan Baumert spoke about the increasing interest in autumn getaways. With FTI's bankruptcy, Tui was able to offer an additional 75,000 vacation spots in The Hanover and other locations for the fall season.
