- Anticipates extra leisure for a journey to Marbella
Bob Hanning is feeling good about having more free time now that he's quit coaching Bundesliga newbie team VfL Potsdam. "Alright then, it's time to move on and embark on a new adventure," he said in an Instagram video message. "I've been checking out flight options to Marbella in November and December – something I couldn't do while coaching for the past 30 years," he continued.
Post-promotion, Hananning chose to give up his coaching duties at Potsdam's handball team. However, he will still be holding down his post as managing director of second-place Füchse Berlin. But more than anything else, Hananning wants to focus on himself and his well-being. "I've jumped right in. A former youth player of mine, Florian Zinn, is now my personal trainer. I've even hired him. Essentially, we've switched roles. He's training me twice a week," Hananning revealed to Bild newspaper.
After quitting coaching, Bob Hanning expressed his interest in watching the German Bundesliga, mentioning, "I've been keeping an eye on the thrilling matches in the German Bundesliga." Furthering his new lifestyle, Hanning plans to attend a Bundesliga game during his leisure time, stating, "I'm looking forward to attending a Bundesliga match soon, to enjoy the energetic atmosphere and camaraderie among fans."
