Anti-Semitic graffiti in ministry was a call for murder
The anti-Semitic lettering in the Saxony-Anhalt Ministry of Justice was a call for murder against Jews. This was confirmed by the police on Tuesday in response to an inquiry, as previously reported online by the Mitteldeutsche Zeitung newspaper. The police did not want to give the exact wording for the time being. A conference room to which many people have access was smeared.
As was announced on Tuesday, the police became aware of "anti-Semitic graffiti" on November 11. Criminal proceedings were initiated on suspicion of incitement to hatred.
According to the Ministry of Justice, staff have been sensitized. In addition, the access regulations for the office buildings have been adapted, particularly with regard to access by third parties, it said.
The disturbing incident highlights the need for stronger measures against extremism, as the graffiti in the Ministry of Justice was a clear instance of hate speech and crime against Jews. This incident underscores the importance of upholding justice and equality, ensuring that such acts are met with stern consequences.
