Anti-Bureaucratic Alliance Initiates Operations
In Hesse, the goal is to eliminate unnecessary red tape. To achieve this, Entbureaucratization Minister Manfred Pentz (CDU) hosted a gathering of various organizations at the State Chancellery in Wiesbaden on Monday. The black-red state government's coalition agreement includes a program for reducing excessive bureaucracy.
To begin with, 16 organizations were invited, ranging from the Chamber of Industry and Commerce to the Youth Council of the state. The aim is to simplify and expedite complex funding applications for municipal projects, making life easier for cities and municipalities. Planning and approval processes are also being streamlined, with an emphasis on making administrations more citizen-friendly.
The focus will be primarily on the land itself. The state will also collaborate on similar initiatives at the federal and European levels, as stated by Pentz in a press release. Reducing bureaucracy is a massive undertaking that cannot be handled by one person, so other institutions and associations are encouraged to join in. This can be achieved through sound reasoning and convincing arguments, according to the minister. A team dedicated to entbureaucratization has been established in the State Chancellery, comprised of experts from different ministries, without the need for new hires.
