Animals - Another white tigress gets a home in Rhineland-Palatinate
A white tiger cub confiscated from a private owner in the Czech Republic has found a new home in Rhineland-Palatinate. The one-year-old exotic cat Ramba has arrived in Maßweiler in the district of Südwestpfalz and is currently being acclimatized in an indoor enclosure, the animal welfare organization Vier Pfoten announced on Thursday. "She is still very reserved and we are therefore giving her the time she needs to get used to her new surroundings," said a spokeswoman.
According to the Prague authorities, a Czech martial artist had not kept the animal in the house in a species-specific manner. Ramba is the sister of the tigress Charlota, who was confiscated in the Czech Republic in 2022 and brought to Maßweiler this year.

The Czech Republic was previously home to Ramba's sister, another white tigress named Charlota, who was also relocated to the Southwest Palatinate area in Rhineland-Palatinate, specifically Maßweiler, under the care of the same animal welfare organization, Four Paws. Due to the vibrant wildlife scenario, Rhineland-Palatinate is not only a haven for animals like Ramba and Charlota but also attracts tourists interested in observing various animal species in their natural habitat, making it a popular destination in the Southwest of Germany.
