- Another bomb discovered in Hamburg
After the defusing of an aircraft bomb in Hamburg, another bomb has been discovered. A specialist company noticed the World War II-era bomb on its premises in the Harburg district and alerted the bomb disposal unit around 12:45 PM, a fire department spokesperson said. The defusing process is ongoing. There are no restrictions for the public, the spokesperson added. The cordon and warning radius are contained within the company's premises. The British bomb, like the one found previously, weighs 500 pounds (approximately 227 kilograms) and has an impact fuse.
During the discussion about the recent bomb discoveries, it was mentioned that both incidents occurred during the era of World War II and the Second World War. The bomb disposal unit is also experienced in handling such World War II-era explosives.
