Magdeburg experiences unique heavy rainfall resulting in flooding. - Animals temporarily halted operations on a railway path.
A train travelling along the railroad track between Magdeburg and Helmstedt had to make an emergency stop due to a lonely cow wandering the tracks. The Magdeburg Federal Police Inspectorate revealed on Sunday that a group of eleven cows had busted out of their barn for reasons unknown. They broke through an electric fence installed according to regulations. Apparently, the animals were freaking out. Most of the cows remained in a meadow near the tracks, but one youngster had darted on there. This occurrence supposedly took place on Friday afternoon. The railway line was shut down for roughly 30 minutes as a result. The farmer was notified and thanks to his assistance, the cow and the critters were rounded up again.
