Thoughtless gifts - Animal welfare organization stops placement for the Christmas season

No animals under the Christmas tree: To prevent animals from becoming presents without thinking, the Hamburg Animal Welfare Association (HTV) and the Süderstraße animal shelter are stopping the placement of animals from December 22 up to and including January 2, 2024. This will protect the animals from being abandoned after the holidays, explained Janet Bernhardt, 1st Chairwoman of the association, on Tuesday. Placements will be possible again from January 3.
