The LGBTQ+ community plans to show support at the CSD (Christopher Street Day) in Pirna, with a mayor affiliated with the AfD serving for a little over half a year in office. According to Klaus Elgner from CSD Pirna, this event is fantastic, and he gets goosebumps from the daily influx of information and participants. Attendees need not worry about potential attacks, as this year's security measures will be substantially enhanced.

The CSD events predominantly occur in June and July and date back to the first known protest by queer individuals against police violence on Christopher Street in New York in June 1969.
