Bundesliga's Second League - An online car dealer becomes the primary backer for Hertha BSC.
Struggling football club Hertha BSC in the second division now has a fresh sponsor - online car dealer CheckCars24. The German club made the announcement on Monday, revealing that CheckCars24's logo would be placed on the jerseys of the professional team and the U23 players. This agreement is set to last for three years.
Besides sponsoring the jerseys, extensive advertising measures during matches at the Olympic Stadium Berlin, as well as hospitality services, are also planned. CheckCars24 will also be a partner of Hertha's eSport Academy.
Over the summer, Hertha revealed a different sponsor - sports betting provider Crazybuzzer - much to the surprise of the fans. This one-year contract is rumored to have earned the club around two million euros. The amount of money CheckCars24 is contributing to the club has not been disclosed.
At the moment, Hertha is undergoing a restructuring process. Thomas Herrich, the club's managing director, commented on the new sponsor: "There's a clear and honest identification with the football club. We have great trust between us, which is evident in the lengthy contract term and in the extensive engagement."
Tolgahan Mazur, co-founder and shareholder of CheckCars24 GmbH, mentioned his intention to connect with the fans through their sponsorship. "To that end, it's crucial for us to regularly communicate with the fans and involve them in various topics," Mazur stated.
