- An old, rundown residence succumbs to ruins - necessitating extensive tidying up.

An old, rundown structure crumbled in Mertingen, specifically in the Donau-Ries district, around evening time on Saturday. Fragments of the roof and walls tumbled onto the adjoining road, causing a ruckus as per police reports. Consequently, the road was obstructed for approximately three hours, deemed a significant traffic junction by a police spokesperson. The barren barn was quite antiquated, as asserted by the spokesperson, and probably gave way due to its age. The restoration expenses came close to 50,000 euros. Initially, cops received a tip that a lorry had rammed into the building, which eventually proved to be false.

The structure that collapsed was located in the Donau-Ries district of Bavaria. Despite initial rumors, there was no involvement of a lorry in the building's demise.
