Film Festival - An award and great cinema - Kate Winslet in Munich
Kate Winslet is at the Munich Film Festival on Tuesday (9 p.m.) as a guest. The 48-year-old British actress will be awarded the festival's honorary prize, the CineMerit Award. In addition, her new film "The Photographer" is having its European premiere. Under the direction of Ellen Kuras, Winslet plays the American Lee Miller, who went to the front lines as a war correspondent during World War II and also witnessed the liberation of the Buchenwald and Dachau concentration camps. The film is scheduled to start in cinemas on September 26.
Jessica Lange received an unpaid CineMerit Award on Sunday evening, which this year has a stylized form of a wave, among other things, in reference to the Isar in Munich.
