During the distribution of informational brochures in Magdeburg, a member of the AfD state parliament and a campaign helper were verbally assaulted and spat on. The police station in Magdeburg acknowledged on Tuesday that a man with a dog had confronted these two party members, subsequently spitting on them. Legal proceedings have started against the 33-year-old suspect, who will be charged with insulting behavior. This unfortunate series of events unfolded on Monday morning. The AfD identified the state parliamentarian involved as Jan Moldenhauer.
