Augsburg: Latest Updates - An 81-year-old person collides with a metal fence and sustains severe injuries.
In Augsburg's Swabian region, an elderly man suffered a severe injury whilst tending to his garden in Schwabmünchen. He lost his footing on a ladder whilst trimming a hedge and subsequently fell onto a metal fence, causing a piercing injury to his lower leg. The fire department were called to remove the damaged section of the fence allowing for the rescue service to treat the injured man, who was then airlifted to a nearby medical facility by helicopter. The 81-year-old sustained serious wounds from this unfortunate event.
