Fire department operation - An 18-year-old forgets to display the heater and extinguishes a fire

An 18-year-old caused a housing fire in Neubrandenburg by forgetting to turn off the stove plate. According to the police, a water kettle and a metal cover caught fire on the hot plate in the evening. The young man was slightly injured during his attempts to put out the fire.

The fire department was called out after heavy smoke was seen escaping from the third floor of the multi-family house. The affected apartment was no longer habitable, it was reported. The damage was estimated to be around 10,000 Euros. The police are now investigating for negligent arson.

The Fire Department quickly responded to the smoke alarm at the multi-dimensional building in Neubrandenburg, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Due to the apartment fire, the affected unit required relocation services. To prevent such incidents in the future, the police emphasized the importance of fire safety awareness and proper stove usage.
