Music fund - Amateur musicians from Saxony-Anhalt are supported
Three projects in Saxony-Anhalt are to receive funding from a new nationwide amateur music fund. This was announced on Thursday by Katrin Budde, SPD Member of Parliament and Chair of the Bundestag's Committee on Culture and Media. For example, "Singen macht Freu(n)de" by the Förderverein Kinder- und Jugendchor der Lutherstadt Eisleben e.V. will receive almost 3,500 euros and "Tierisch gut!" by the Magdeburg musical will receive 10,000 euros. "Sound and beat. Day and night. InTakt meets light, dance and percussion" by the vocal ensemble InTakt e.V. Magdeburg was funded with almost 8,600 euros. There were ten applications from the state.
In the adjustment session for the 2023 federal budget, the budget committee created an amateur music fund with a volume of five million euros at the suggestion of the parliamentarians. A viable concept is now available. 3.73 million euros would have been available for project funding. According to Budde, there are a total of 206 grants.
