Police operation - Altercation in shared accommodation in Erfurt
An altercation has broken out between three men and the security service at a shared accommodation facility in Erfurt. Around 30 to 40 residents then showed solidarity with the trio and attacked the security guards in a threatening manner, according to the police on Monday.
According to the information, staff at the accommodation had previously warned the residents of a room to be quiet due to noise on Sunday night. According to the police, the three men, aged between 18 and 23, then tried to beat the staff. They acted aggressively towards the security staff, who, according to the police, defended themselves with pepper spray and called the emergency services. The 23-year-old is said to have damaged a door behind which the employees had taken refuge.
Before the 30 to 40 other residents of the shared accommodation were able to intervene in the conflict, the police calmed things down. The case is being investigated for attempted grievous bodily harm, damage to property and breach of the peace.
