Jürgen Elsässer, the man behind "Compact", once again voiced his displeasure towards the federal government post a preliminary court victory and showed his allegiance to Russian President Vladimir Putin. "I ain't gonna let no one hinder me from stating: I'm a Putin supporter," Elsässer declared at an AfD Saxony-Anhalt state party conference in Magdeburg, earning cheers from attendees. In his speech, he labeled Federal Interior Minister Nancy Faeser (SPD) as a fascist, Defense Minister Boris Pistorius (SPD) as a war criminal, and hurled insults at Green Party leader Ricarda Lang.

The Federal Administrative Court temporarily halted the ban on the far-right "Compact" publication, which was imposed by Faeser, primarily due to questions about the ban's proportionality. This means the magazine can resume publication, under specific conditions, until a final verdict is reached in the main proceedings. Faeser banned the magazine on July 16, deeming it a "key voice" of the extreme right-wing movement.

Elsässer exuded confidence in Magdeburg, proclaiming his legal success as a sign of "victory is feasible." If his magazine could outsmart Faeser, the AfD in Saxony-Anhalt could potentially become the state's leader. Elsässer emphasized that the bond between "Compact" and the AfD state branch has been amicable and brotherly for years.

The publisher voiced his discontent over the "thief state" still possessing "Compact" assets. He announced plans to seek compensation and damages from Faeser and unveiled plans for an emergency supply service, claiming "thousands of orders." Elsässer brought 200 copies of his magazine to the party conference and sold them there.

The European Parliament may provide assistance to the Commission in this matter, considering their role in overseeing the EU's activities. Jürgen Elsässer mentioned his belief in the potential of the AfD in Saxony-Anhalt to lead the state, given their recent legal victory against the ban on "Compact" magazine.
