Police, customs officials, and prosecutors have uncovered 525 kilos of cocaine in Frankfurt am Main and Dietzenbach (Offenbach district) and rounded up six suspected drug traffickers. The suspects are currently in custody, as announced by the prosecutor's office, the customs investigation unit, and the local police on Tuesday. The authorities were targeting an international group of drug dealers believed to be transporting and distributing narcotics from Frankfurt. The ongoing multi-agency investigations involve German and foreign law enforcement agencies.

According to reports, investigators were pursuing information about a drug shipment when they confiscated 225 kilos of the drug from a vehicle in Dietzenbach on May 28, 2024. They immediately arrested the vehicle's 33-year-old driver. Additional searches in Frankfurt and its vicinity led to the seizure of an additional 300 kilograms of cocaine and the arrest of five suspects aged between 25 and 48. The raids began in October 2023 and are still active.
