Almost 334,000 euros for art projects in the state
Exhibitions, theater, catalogs, film productions: The Saxony-Anhalt Art Foundation is providing 333,353 euros for a diverse art scene. The Board of Trustees has decided to support 34 artists and art projects, the foundation announced in Halle on Friday.
Money is available for projects in the visual and applied arts, for publications, performing arts, film and interdisciplinary projects, it said. Exhibitions, galleries and trade fair appearances are also supported from the foundation pot, as are individual artists through work grants.
For example, the Protestant Reformed parish of St. Augustini in Magdeburg receives money for glass art windows in the Wallon Church. The Magdeburg Theater's own operations, the Halle stages, the organizers of the "Harzmovienale" film festival, the Magdeburg Art Museum Kloster Unser Lieben Frauen, Mitteldeutsche Verlag GmbH and the Saxony-Anhalt Cultural Foundation with the Lyonel Feininger Museum in Quedlinburg are also among the beneficiaries, it was reported.
The Saxony-Anhalt Art Foundation's support for diverse art scene includes funding for art exhibitions and gallery appearances. As part of the 333,353 euro allocation, several foundations, such as the Lyonel Feininger Museum in Quedlinburg, will host art exhibitions.
