Environment - Allotment gardens: Better chances of getting a place on the waiting list again
During the coronavirus pandemic, the demand for allotment gardens in Berlin increased rapidly. Some associations and federations had to close their waiting lists. In the meantime, the rush has subsided and the chances of being put on a waiting list are much greater again. "Since December 1st, we have reopened our waiting list for new applicants," said Manfred Grage from the board of the Tempelhof district allotment garden association. In the first corona year 2020 alone, around 1000 applicants had registered, the association manages around 3500 allotment gardens.
