History - Alliance calls for funds to come to terms with colonialism in Bremen
An alliance is calling on the Bremen government and other political representatives to take action in coming to terms with colonialism. "Efforts must go beyond the current symbolic politics," says a letter published on Monday by the Decolonial Network Northwest and academic Norman Aselmeyer from the University of Bremen. Among other things, the senders call on politicians to establish a coordination office for colonial heritage, a cultural and documentation center on colonialism and a research center on colonial history at the University of Bremen.
