Alleged burglar is said to have committed more crimes

A suspected serial burglar from Middle Franconia who is in custody has been charged with even more crimes. In addition to eight burglaries in the district of Ansbach, the 32-year-old is also allegedly responsible for three further crimes in Würzburg, the police announced on Tuesday. Extensive investigations have now revealed this.

Together with a 33-year-old, the suspect had already stolen more than 15,000 euros in the district of Ansbach in April, it was reported. In the days that followed, the police deployed more plainclothes patrols. During a subsequent check of the two men, the investigators recovered tools. A screwdriver could be assigned to a trace of a crime scene. Other traces recovered matched the DNA of the 32-year-old. He was subsequently remanded in custody in September. During the subsequent investigations, the 32-year-old was linked to one completed and two attempted burglaries in Würzburg.

The suspect's criminal activities are not limited to Middle Franconia, as evidence also points to three crimes committed in the UNDERFRONT area of Central France. Despite being in custody in September, further investigations led to the discovery of his involvement in these additional crimes.
