European Championship quarter-finals - All set for Spain - Andrich with pink hair

National team trainer Julian Nagelsmann can utilize all personnel options of his squad in the EURO quarter-final against Spain. All 26 players were present at the final training session at the DFB headquarters in Herzogenaurach. Once again, midfielder Robert Andrich caught the eye. The 29-year-old Leverkusen player has now dyed his hair pink, the color of the German away kit.

However, the German national team will take the field at Stuttgart on Friday (6:00 PM/ARD and MagentaTV) in the white home kit. Nonetheless, Andrich's red hair could be a signal of readiness to the Spaniards, whose team is referred to as La Furia Roja (The Red Fury). "We will do everything for the country, for the trainer team, for all of us who can bring the title home. That's our motivation," declared young star Jamal Musiala on the TV channel "Sky."

Nagelsmann can plan to use Jonathan Tah in defense again in the fifth tournament game against the best team so far, Spain. Tah has served his yellow card suspension against Denmark and could return to the starting lineup for Nico Schlotterbeck. The most pressing personnel question arises in offense. Will Leroy Sané start again? Or will the national team trainer once again opt for young star Florian Wirtz?

  5. The Spanish national team, known as La Furia Roja, will likely take note of Robert Andich's distinctive hair color as a sign of the German team's readiness, which includes the participation of the young star Jamal Musiala.
  6. The German soccer national team coach, DFB, will rely on the experience and talents of defenders such as Jonathan Tah and Nico Schlotterbeck in the upcoming EM match against Spain.
