Police operation - All quiet so far at Eritrea soccer tournament
A soccer tournament organized by the Eritrean Association for the Physically Disabled in Stuttgart has so far passed off without incident, according to police reports on Saturday. "Everything has remained calm," said a police spokeswoman. The tournament in the west of Stuttgart began at 8 a.m. and was scheduled to last all day. The association is also organizing an Eritrea festival in a sports hall in the Zuffenhausen district, which was to take place in the afternoon from 4 p.m. and was to be accompanied by strong police forces. A counter-demonstration had been canceled. There had been massive riots at an Eritrea festival in mid-September.
