Ten years after his last album release, musician and actor Alexander Klaws surprises fans with a new song dedicated to Borussia Dortmund, just in time for the Champions League final. His post on Instagram reads, "After a decade of musical silence, there's finally something to enjoy." The song "Yellow Wall" will be available for download across the internet on Saturday night. Borussia Dortmund is set to play against Real Madrid in London on Saturday evening.
His management revealed that the "stadium anthem" - written by Uwe Fechner - was recorded in various locations such as Dortmund, Berlin, Hannover, Nuremberg, Hamburg, and Italy. Notable musicians in the rock scene like Dennis Poschwatta, drummer from Guano Apes, and Fabio Trentini on bass have contributed to the song. A choir of 30 Borussia Dortmund fans from all over Germany also participated in the recording, which took place in Dortmund. Producer Fechner and Klaws, who were both born near the Westfalenstadion, sought to create a song with fellow fans.
Alexander Klaws' last studio album was released in the fall of 2015. The versatile performer, who has graced stages as both a singer and actor, is known for his role as Apachen chief Winnetou at the Karl May Festspiele in Bad Segeberg each summer since 2019.
