Second Division - Alexander Jobst, head of Fortuna, states that they're improving their performance.

The boss of Fortuna Düsseldorf, Alexander Jobst, is having a hard time accepting his club's failure to promote to the Bundesliga. Commenting on the issue, the 50-year-old told the "Rheinische Post," "Sports can be ruthless." He continued, "We're really sad, and it'll take a while to get over it. But then we'll regroup."

Fortuna's second division squad suffered a 3-0 defeat in a penalty shootout at home on Monday, following a 3-0 victory in the first leg, against VfL Bochum. This resulted in their inability to return to the top division after four years in the second division.

Jobst remains confident about the future, stating, "We'll look ahead, move on, and demonstrate consistency." The CEO also declared that every possible measure would be taken to be able to compete once again in the upcoming season. "Our objective will be to create an upward-trending team, even though it's too early to discuss it specifically."
