Semifinal match in basketball - Alba's basketball team plays against Chemnitz without Hermannsson.

Alba Berlin's basketball squad faces the challenge of reaching the German basketball final without their point guard Martin Hermannsson. The Icelander can't play in the crucial fifth half-final matchup against Chemnitz Niners on Thursday (6:30 pm/Dyn) due to a calf injury. Hermannsson joins a growing list of injured point guards for the Berliners, with Matteo Spagnolo and Ziga Samar also out.

What's more, the team's captain Johannes Thiemann may not play in this crucial game due to a persistent patellar tendon issue. Alba made the announcement a few hours before the game, leaving their decision on whether Thiemann can join the team until shortly before tip-off. In this Best-of-Five series between Berlin and Saxony, the score stands at 2-2.
