Growth course - Airports on the upswing - but pre-corona level not reached
After poor business during the coronavirus crisis, North Rhine-Westphalia's airports are continuing to grow. In October, around 1.8 million passengers took off from the state's six largest airports, 14.8% more than a year earlier, the state statistics office announced on Tuesday. Compared to October 2019 - i.e. before the outbreak of the pandemic and the associated travel restrictions - the figure was around 2.1 million. The effects of coronavirus have therefore not yet been overcome. The largest NRW airport is Düsseldorf, followed by Cologne/Bonn and Dortmund.
