Annual target - Airbus still has to deliver almost 100 jets in December
The world's largest aircraft manufacturer Airbus has to hurry up with its jet deliveries in December. In the Christmas month, 97 commercial aircraft still have to find their way to their buyers in order for the manufacturer to reach its annual target of 720 aircraft. In November, the DAX-listed company delivered 64 aircraft, seven fewer than in October, as it announced on Tuesday evening. After the first eleven months, deliveries thus total 623 aircraft.
The fact that aircraft deliveries cluster towards the end of the year is a tradition at Airbus. The management tries to meet or exceed its annual targets shortly before the end of the year. In December 2022, the manufacturer had handed over 98 aircraft to its customers. Despite this, Airbus CEO Guillaume Faury had to cancel his delivery target for 2022, which had already been cut, due to serious bottlenecks in the supply chains.
Airbus is still not lacking in orders. In November, the manufacturer received orders for 113 aircraft, but also had to accept 52 cancellations.
