State government's resolution - Aid provided to individuals hit by the Whitsun floods.

Following the devastating floods experienced at Pentecost in Rhineland-Palatinate, the government in Mainz made the decision to offer assistance to affected private homes. The districts of Southwest Palatinate, Eifel (Bitburg-Prüm), Trier-Saarburg, Germersheim, and Bad Kreuznach, as well as the free cities of Trier and Zweibrücken, were eligible for this aid programme, as stated by the Interior Ministry on a recent Tuesday.

Each household could receive up to 1,500 euros in assistance, while an additional 500 euros per person in the household was also available. This aid amounted to a maximum of 3,000 euros per household. The state of Rhineland-Palatinate would make these funds accessible to the relevant districts and cities, who would then distribute the money to the affected individuals. According to Interior Minister Michael Ebling (SPD), the financial support received by these people during the crisis could relieve their most pressing needs, including shelter, clothing, or food.
