- Agriculturist intends to impede development with tractor

A fellow farmer in the Schwandorf region is under scrutiny for hindering construction projects using his tractor. On a Monday, in Wernberg-Köblitz, this 69-year-old had a tense exchange with construction crew members, protesting their utilization of machinery to put down gas pipes on a verdant strip of the district. He claimed that, as the farmer of the adjacent field, he had the right to utilize the green area for farming purposes.

The police initially attempted to clarify the legal aspects to him, but to no avail. It took the threat of towing his tractor away for him to relocate his vehicle, allowing the construction workers to resume their tasks. Now, authorities are probing into the farmer's allegations of coercion.

The police regarded the farmer's actions as a potential disruption and planned a necessary [police operation] to ensure the completion of the construction projects. Unwilling to comply, the farmer faced the possibility of his tractor being seized during this [police operation].
