- Agricultural worker meets unfortunate end after being struck by machinery
A man farming in the Main-Kinzig area suffered major injuries after getting pinned under his tractor. The 62-year-old was working on a field in Gründau, intending to climb into the tractor's cab, when suddenly the vehicle, coupled with its trailer, started moving backwards. Poor guy's leg got stuck beneath the trailer, leading to some pretty nasty leg injuries. Emergency services were called in to airlift him to the hospital. Authorities are looking into why the tractor started rolling backwards.
Despite the ongoing investigation, it was unclear if the tractor's mechanics had any issues. Regardless, the man's co-workers expressed concern about the safety of operating other heavy machinery without a thorough check.
