Crime - Aggressive patient - shot during police operation

In a hospital operation, a female police officer shot at an aggressive patient - however, she did not hit him. According to the police, the 21-year-old had previously thrown a gas canister at the Federal Police officer. The officer immediately used her firearm on Sunday evening. The 21-year-old was arrested by the police and taken to a specialized ward. The officer was injured on her leg.

According to the reports, the Federal Police were in the clinic for another matter. They were then approached by staff about the aggressive patient, who was reportedly threatening personnel and making suicide threats.

The Berlin Police were then called to the hospital due to the shooting incident and took over the investigation against the man on suspicion of aggravated bodily harm and assaulting on-duty officers.

The incident occurred in Berlin, where the hospital is located. The police operation involved the Federal Police initially, who were in the clinic for a different reason. During the operation, a police officer was injured on her leg.
