Residents of North Rhine-Westphalia can look forward to improved weather - but first, they'll have to endure a brief spell of bad weather. Initially, it will be cloudy in many parts of the state, and from Saturday afternoon, there's a chance of thunderstorms with heavy rain of up to 35 liters per square meter, according to the German Weather Service (DWD). Hail and gusty winds are also possible in some areas. Temperatures will be warm, ranging from 24 to 27 degrees Celsius.
By evening and into Sunday night, the likelihood of thunderstorms decreases. Temperatures will drop to 17 to 14 degrees Celsius. On Sunday, it will remain largely dry, with some clearing from the northwest.
The week begins pleasantly with a mix of sun and clouds, with temperatures ranging from 25 to 28 degrees Celsius. On Tuesday, meteorologists predict mostly clear skies: Overall, the weather should be sunny and dry, with a high temperature of 30 degrees Celsius.
While enduring the cloudy conditions on Saturday, residents might also brace themselves for the potential threat of thunderstorms with heavy rain, hail, and strong winds. Fortunately, the probability of thunderstorms lessens by evening and throughout Sunday night.
