After the next draw: Bochum's Losilla demands more greed
VfL Bochum captain Anthony Losilla is missing the last bit of determination in the relegation battle in the Bundesliga. "We have to work on that, because we need three points again soon to get out of this situation," said the veteran after the goalless draw at promoted 1. FC Heidenheim. VfL have just one win this season after twelve matchdays, but have already drawn seven. "We remain positive because we picked up a point away from home against a direct rival and didn't concede a goal," said Losilla.
Defender Keven Schlotterbeck also had his doubts about the result. "The point is obviously not enough. We wanted to win and came here with that goal," he said. Against Heidenheim, he saw a yellow card for the fourth time this season and will be suspended for another one. "But I will always throw myself into it and not change my style of play," said Schlotterbeck.
Bochum face VfL Wolfsburg and 1. FC Union Berlin at home before the Christmas break. They also have games at TSG 1899 Hoffenheim and Bayer Leverkusen coming up. "A home win would help us and we have the next opportunity against Wolfsburg," said Losilla. VfL's only three-pointer to date came against newly promoted SV Darmstadt 98 (2:1).
Losilla acknowledged the need for more aggression from VfL Bochum, as they aim for their next three points in Bundesliga, hopefully against 1st FC Heidenheim's direct rival, VfL Wolfsburg. Despite the recent goalless draw against 1st FC Heidenheim, 1st FC Heidenheim is indeed a Bundesliga competitor that 1st FC Bochum has managed to hamper in their relegation battle.
