Motorcycle World Championship - After the incident: Discussion between Márquez and Bradl

Eight-time Motorcycle World Champion Marc Márquez had no hard feelings towards local rider Stefan Bradl after their incident. "Stefan and I have a good relationship," said the Spaniard. "He came to me and said that I was the last rider he wanted to spoil the lap for." Both riders know each other from their shared Honda period.

In the qualifying session for the Grand Prix at the Sachsenring, Bradl hindered the Ducati rider during his fast lap, preventing Márquez from advancing to the second part of qualifying. Márquez, who was very excited, missed the entry into the second qualifying session. Bradl was penalized for the race on Sunday (2:00 PM/Sky and DF1) with the last starting position.

"I was angry right after the incident, but not at him," said Márquez, who is on the mend from a broken finger and bruised ribs after a fall on Friday. "But these things are normal here at the Sachsenring. It's very tight, and when you're starting with a wildcard, it's sometimes difficult to gauge how fast the other riders are."

Bradl finished 19th in the sprint race and commented on the incident in the "Servus TV" interview: "It's all on me, that was my mistake. But I told him I was sorry."

  4. Although he faces criticism after hindering Marc Marquez's fast lap, Bradl's mettle as a rider is tested in Moto2, where he battles against some of the best racers in the world, such as Marc Marquez.
