Following a fire involving a motorhome on the A7 in Hamburg, there will be traffic restrictions until Monday. The incident occurred in the construction zone before the Hamburg-Bahrenfeld exit heading south, as reported by the Federal Highway Company. To make the main lanes usable again as soon as possible, immediate repairs are necessary. Therefore, only one lane will be available on Monday morning between 7:00 and 9:00 AM.

The fire had already caused noticeable traffic disruptions on Sunday afternoon. Due to the damaged asphalt, only two of the three lanes heading south are currently open, according to the traffic management center. Those leaving the Open-Air festival in Wacken or heading to Lower Saxony should expect delays.

According to police, the fire in the motorhome started in the morning due to a technical malfunction. No injuries were reported.

Due to the ongoing traffic restrictions following the fire, motorists may face longer travel times on their way to Lower Saxony. The restriction of traffic is necessary to complete the necessary repairs in the damaged area.
