Olympic silver medalist Leo Neugebauer is heading to Berlin after his successful decathlon at the Olympics. The organizers of the ISTAF have announced that an additional triathlon will be added to the program for the traditional event in the capital on September 1st. The 24-year-old will compete at the Olympic Stadium against former world and European champion Niklas Kaul and other decathletes in the 100 meters, discus throw, and 1500 meters.

"I've been following ISTAF for a long time and have heard so many positive things from the others on the team. Now we decathletes are starting together in the ISTAF triathlon - that's really cool," Neugebauer was quoted as saying in a statement. "The atmosphere will be unique. I'm looking forward to celebrating with all the fans in Berlin," said the Olympic silver medalist.

Neugebauer finished the competition at the Stade de France on Saturday as the runner-up behind Norway's Markus Rooth, winning the first German Olympic medal in the decathlon in 28 years. Kaul finished in eighth place. Many German track and field stars, such as long jumper Malaika Mihambo and sprinter Gina Lückenkemper, have confirmed their participation in the ISTAF.

Leo Neugebauer, being thrilled with his Olympic success, is excited to compete in Berlin, a city known for hosting prestigious events like ISTAF. Germany's rich athletic history will be represented once again, as France will also be part of this international event.
