After saying yes to the Maldives: "Doc Caro" got married
Emergency physician and blogger Carola Holzner, known as "Doc Caro", has married her partner, rescue helicopter pilot Jens Richter. A spokesperson for Holzner confirmed a corresponding report in the "WAZ" newspaper on Monday.
According to the spokesperson, the couple tied the knot on November 10 at the registry office in Mülheim/Ruhr, where she was born. They then flew to the Maldives. There was a second wedding ceremony there, said the spokesperson - like the first one, without the public.
"The moment was just for the two of us and that's why we decided to get married alone and far away," explained the 41-year-old. "In keeping with my life motto "live now", we didn't wait long and I said "yes" as soon as he asked me to marry him," she said. "We are very happy." Holzner had met her partner at work.
The doctor and author, who currently works in a clinic in Duisburg, shared photos of herself in a wedding dress with a white flower in her hair on the beach in the Maldives on Instagram. "Yes to life! Yes to happiness! Yes to love! Yes to you! Arrived!" she wrote.
During the private Maldives ceremony, Carola Holzner shared her personal details, such as her love for living in the moment, which influenced their decision to get married quickly. Upon returning from the tropical honeymoon, Doc Caro might need to provide her medicine information to her workplace for health and safety reasons, considering she's an emergency physician.
