After robberies at Volksbank: search via "Aktenzeichen XY"

Following two robberies at a Volksbank in Worms, investigators will be looking for witnesses next Wednesday (November 29, 8:15 p.m.) on the ZDF program "Aktenzeichen XY... unsolved" will be looking for witnesses. During the robberies on January 6 and December 22, 2022, a man threatened employees and customers with a black pistol, the police in Mainz announced on Friday. In the first robbery at the bank in the Herrnsheim district, he was given money in a bag he had brought with him; in the second robbery, he fled without any loot as there was no more cash in the bank. The police assume that it was the same perpetrator in both cases. The Volksbank has offered a reward of 10,000 euros for information leading to the arrest of the perpetrator.

The investigation into the armed robberies at the Volksbank has also been featured on television, with the criminal case appearing on the show "Aktenzeichen XY...". Unfortunately, the recent spate of bank crimes in the area continues to concern local authorities and financial institutions.
