After killing 39-year-old man: suspect arrested

Two days after the violent death of a 39-year-old man in Erfurt, a suspect has been arrested. The 48-year-old German was arrested in the city center on Friday evening and is to be brought before a magistrate on Saturday, police announced on Saturday.

Erfurt - After killing 39-year-old man: suspect arrested

In the night to Thursday, a 39-year-old man was shot and died at the scene in a free space in the northern part of Erfurt. The suspected perpetrator, according to the police, was fleeing and possibly armed. A search was conducted for him, and an investigation was also being carried out against him for a completed murder. A police spokesperson made no statements about the possible motives for the crime on Saturday morning.
