Bundesliga 2 - After Karlsruhe: Augsburg Günther awarded again
Defender Lasse Günther has extended his contract with Bundesliga team FC Augsburg but will be loaned out once more. The 21-year-old played for relegated SV Wehen Wiesbaden in the previous season and is now set to gather more playing experience at Second League side Karlsruher SC. Günther has extended his contract in Augsburg until 30th June 2026. KSC holds a buy-out option, which Augsburg have secured a buy-back option for.
For Wehen Wiesbaden, the defender played 24 games and scored one goal. "At KSC, I now have the opportunity to take the next step in my career and establish myself as a regular starter in a strong team", said Günther.
