After fire in clinic: patient allegedly set fire

A female patient is believed to be responsible for the fire in a Würzburg clinic that injured two people. The 49-year-old woman is now being investigated for attempted aggravated arson, a police spokesman said on Tuesday.

Fire - After fire in clinic: patient allegedly set fire

A female patient is believed to be responsible for the fire in a Würzburg clinic that injured two people. The 49-year-old woman is now being investigated for attempted aggravated arson, a police spokesman said on Tuesday.

The fire broke out on Saturday in the common room of a protected ward with 18 patients, it was reported. Eight people were taken out of the smoke-filled building. The suspected arsonist and one other person were taken to hospital with minor injuries.

The amount of damage is estimated to be in the low five-figure range, it was reported. In addition to the police, around 153 emergency services were reportedly on site.
