After explosion outside tattoo studio: police investigate attack
Following the explosion outside a tattoo studio in Wittenberge (Prignitz district), the police are investigating whether it was a targeted attack. The background is still unclear, a police spokesman said on Monday. According to initial forensic investigations, pyrotechnics exploded in front of the store in Perleberger Straße early on Saturday morning. The shop window was completely destroyed. However, the statics of the building were not endangered - the building could still be used.
According to the police, there were initially no suspects. The damage to property amounts to at least 10,000 euros. The police are still investigating the circumstances.
The investigation by the police suggests that the explosion might have been a deliberate attack on the tattoo studio. Witnesses reported hearing several loud explosions near the studio.
