- After an accident with fire near Bühl - A5 again free
Following an accident, in which a car caught fire, the A5 motorway between the junctions Buhl and Achern has been reopened. According to initial findings, a car lost control due to aquaplaning and collided with a Dutch caravan, as reported by the police in Offenburg.
The caravan was torn apart and the car it was attached to caught fire. No one was injured. The estimated damage, according to the police, is around 100,000 euros.
The reopened A5 motorway, where the accident occurred, is a significant stretch of the highway between Buhl and Achern. Traffic now resumes on this vital transportation route.
