A so-called Amok alarm at the School Center in Bargteheide (Stormarn District) led to a multi-hour police operation on a Wednesday. Police secured the complex in the morning and searched the building, as reported by the police. However, no evidence of a real danger situation was found. "At present, a technical defect of the alarm system cannot be ruled out."
Meanwhile, students were ordered to a central collection point. Teachers and pastors looked after them there. At the time of the alarm resolution, approximately 550 students were in the affected gymnasium. All were able to leave the school building. The police ended their operation around 12:40 pm, after approximately four and a half hours. More than 40 police officers were involved.
