Following a six-day journey, tortoise named Plitsch, hailing from Mainz-Weisenau, was back in its rightful home. The incident caught the attention of authorities on a Monday afternoon, as mentioned in a statement. "Detailed and extensive inquiries with long-time residents of Weisenau ultimately pointed towards an address where a tortoise resided," the police disclosed. The contented owner and the adventurous escapee, together with its sibling Platsch, were at long last reunified. The animals in question are European pond terrapins.
