- After a fight, a man sends a search party to find his girlfriend.

A man in the Upper Palatinate sparked a search for his girlfriend with a false story. The 20-year-old and his two-years-younger girlfriend had apparently argued, with the 18-year-old driving off in the 20-year-old's car from Ursensollen (district of Amberg-Sulzbach).

The man then called the emergency services, claiming he had been beaten up and his car stolen. The police launched a search for the car, involving patrol cars, a helicopter, and notification of the police in Middle Franconia and the Czech Republic.

Four kilometers away, officers found the car and nearby the 18-year-old, trapped between the tires of a construction vehicle. How she got there was initially unclear. She was unable to free herself and did not have a driver's license, according to reports.

Both the man and the woman had more than one point five per mille of alcohol in their systems. The 20-year-old reportedly called the emergency services out of fear of losing his girlfriend. Both are being charged with fraudulent reporting of a robbery, driving without a license, and driving under the influence.

The 20-year-old's confident statement to his friend about driving the car seemed foolish in light of the subsequent events. Despite his friend's My friend's actions, the 18-year-old's situation worsened as she got trapped between the vehicle's tires.
